Learning Differences

A learning difference simply means someone has difficulty learning in a typical manner, usually caused by physical, emotional and/or mental stress (including other known or unknown factors, such as, nutritional deficiencies, toxicity and those as the result of concussions, closed head injuries and ptsd symptoms).

Some learning difficulties have been assets in someone’s life in the way they deal with other parts of their life.  Many successful and famous people grew up with learning difficulties and/or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (AD/HD) such as Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, most decorated Olympian, Actor Danny Glover, business leader Charles Schwab, to name a few.  A learning difficulty does not mean one can not be successful in life — so much as they simply need to either resolve or overcome these obstacles.

These known or unknown factors affect the brain’s ability to receive and process information.  People with learning difficulties often have trouble performing specific types of skills or completing specific tasks if left to figure things out by themselves or if taught in conventional ways. We are here to help people restore their inherent ability to learn more efficiently and effectively.

By normalizing learning processeses many learning difficulties can be overcome.  Individuals with learning difficulties face unique and often frustrating challenges throughout their lifetime.   Resolving the underlying causes of  stress resulting in learning difficulties allows one the opportunity to succeed in school and go on to be successful later in life.
